LEGACY OF THE GLACIERS ABSTRACT II

Following a friend’s suggestion, Joni Hedinger started the project Legacy of the Glaciers to capture and preserve the glaciers of the Alps before they disappear.

 The series is ongoing, with the goal of documenting most of the glaciers in the European Alps. However, the series is not just about documentation – it’s also a way to highlight the beauty and fragility of these natural formations. His photographs present the glaciers in an abstract way, showcasing the uniqueness and character of these giants. As the project continues, Joni Hedinger’s dedication to preserving the memory of Alpine glaciers becomes evident, ensuring their legacy remains even after they are gone.

All prints are produced in the highest quality, come with a certificate of authenticity and are limited to a few pieces depending on the subject. 

Each picture is named after the glacier it shows.
