Past and running exhibitions featuring the work of Joni Hedinger
BLAUE SCHATTE 20.05.-20.08.2022
Shadows don't always have to be black. After all, life would be quite boring without the contrast of light and shadow. Clouds that conjure up shadows in the most diverse shades of blue on the white snow, golden light that hits the cold glacier ice or haze that lets the mountains gently fade away.
After the successful publication of the book Lost in the Alps together with the photographer collective The Alpinists, Joni's large-format photographs can now be admired in the solo exhibition "Blue Shadows" in the Lachner studio gallery of photographer Patrick Lambertz. In addition to the work of Patrick Lambertz, the Patrick Lambertz Photography Gallery always presents hand-picked photographers and their work and has thus created a small but fine space for lovers of sophisticated photography on the Upper Lake Zurich. With over 150,000 followers on Instagram, Joni is one of the most successful Swiss representatives of that young generation of photographers whose work inspires a worldwide audience virtually, but is still significantly underrepresented in physical gallery spaces.
The works on display show a sample of Joni's archive, curated together with Patrick Lambertz, who spares no physical effort or challenge to get to his subjects. For the perfect picture and the ideal mood, he hikes for many hours, repeatedly spending the night in the mountain, equipped only with a sleeping bag and mat.
