A Special Handover to Marco Odermatt
A long-held vision became a reality recently when Marco Odermatt became the owner of one of Joni Hedinger’s works. Having followed the ski races over the last few years, it was a pleasure to watch Odermatt achieve such remarkable success on the slopes.
The selected work features Gross Spannort, a mountain from Odermatt's home region.
Handing over this photograph in person was a big honor and provided an inspiring chance to speak about their shared passion for the Swiss Alps.
Thank you Marco!

Joining ALPA of Switzerland
Ten years into his journey in photography, Joni Hedinger begins a new chapter. His long-standing work in the mountains and a commitment to high-quality imagery have led to a natural fit: becoming an official ALPA of Switzerland Ambassador.
The precision and quality of ALPA equipment supports the vision of documenting the Alps, reflecting not only the excellence of the final works but also the philosophy and approach to photography itself.
The official profile can now be found on ALPA’s newly launched website.
This milestone is also a moment to say thank you to everyone who has supported the work over the years. A special word of gratitude goes to Patrick Lambertz and Hans Keist for their support and trust.

Vernissage "Stetig Unstetig" – IG Halle
Guido Baumgartner,
curator and co-president of IG Halle and Joni opened the exhibition "Stetig unstetig" with a shared talk. It was
great to see so many people join us for the opening at Kunst(zeug)haus, Tor 13!
In the short exhibition Spotlights #8, IG Halle presents glacier photographs
by Joni Hedinger.
Stetig unstetig reflects both a feeling of life and the way we deal with images – especially in social media, where
overload and numbness are common. Joni’s work explores how artistic photography can respond to this flood of images. For him, the mountains remain a constant — even though they, too, are always
changing.

Alpa Edition Pignons
One of the photos from the "Legacy of the Glaciers" series has been used on the packaging of the new, limited Alpa Edition Pignons in Glacier Silver.
It’s wonderful to see that this special moment, the Mont Miné Glacier in Valais just after sunrise, perfectly aligns with the new Alpa camera. The backlight makes the glacier glow with a silver sheen – in the Glacier Silver color.
Thank you to Alpa of Switzerland and Patrick Lambertz.

The conversation focused on recent projects with The Alpinists and offered a look behind the scenes of how their book was created.
A sincere thank you goes to the team at On and to Jonas Reust for the invitation and for hosting such an inspiring evening.
